Compound Finance is integrating Ethena's stablecoin USDe and Mantle's liquid staking token mETH as collateral on its lending platform, following a tokenholder vote. This move reflects the growing adoption of yield-bearing stablecoins and liquid staking tokens, contributing to a significant increase in decentralized finance's total value locked, which now exceeds $117 billion. Ethena's USDe has become the third-largest stablecoin, boasting an average annual yield of 11.25% for staked holders.
